In order to replace the old Centurion AVLB, 2 Biber were bought
from Germany and 8 from the Dutch Army in 1994. They where
fully implemented in 1997. All spare-bridges are delivered
by the German Army.
The bridge has a span of 20 meters, is 4 meters wide, and
can to some extend be used by the Leopard 2 as well. The Norwegian Leopard bridgelayer is the only version with the military class 70, and can hold the heavy Leopard 2A5/6 & Strv 122.

Denmark has 14 Hydrema 910 MCV. The vehicle is based on an
articulated chassis so that all four wheels are in contact
with the ground at all times. When being driven on roads,
the cab is to the front; during mine clearing operations,
the vehicle is driven in reverse with the cab to the rear.
The fully-enclosed, all-welded steel armor cab protects the
occupants from small arms fire up to 7.62 mm armor piercing
calibre and large bullet-proof windows give all round visibility.
For increased crew comfort during travelling and mine clearing
operations, the cab is suspended in rubber elements. It seats
three people although the system is normally operated by a
crew of two.
